Looking for plans for a simple wooden box. Don't have much woodworking experience or a lot of the right tools for trade. Any plans? Any ideas? Needs to be approximately 2'x2'x4' and hold around 100 lbs. I have a stack of pine 1x6x8 that Id like to use. So, any advice for a rookie?

Start by making the corners, do you have the means to rip a 1x6 in half the long way?
If you can, cut them to length first. Screw or nail one half to the edge of the other half making an "L" Chanel for some solid corners.

No, I don't have a table. I do have a couple of 1x4's I could use for the corners. Thanks for the tip. Now I know where to start. Wish I had the time and tools to do some nice tounge and grooves or dovetails but my garage is more geared towards cars and steel. Isn't it amazing how you always need the tools you don't have? Anyway, it's just gotta be simple so I'll go that route. Thanks again for the tip and I'll probably have more questions soon.

Funny you say that, my girlfriend knows what's to come if she asks me to make her something, she will say "I suppose you need a tool to do that" LMAO

Another way to rip boards up if you don't have a table saw is just using another 1x4 or whatever as a fence for a circular saw..

Yeah, I got a new air compressor that way, lol. Sometimes it's beneficial. Thanks for the ripping tip. I didn't think of that. I'm finding this site very useful already.
