Re: WOW, Gas prices
Haven't filled up since Sunday but it was $3.76 here in St. Louis. Killing me to say the least. Full tank and a carton of cigs -$80.00. What the hell is going on here?

Re: WOW, Gas prices
Filled up this morning, still $3.89. Came out to $45.61 for 11.6 gallons. My car has a 17 gallon tank. Back on 04/07/08 I filled up 16 gallons, and it came out to $59.36. How do I know the dates and amount, you ask.... because I track it all on an Excel spreadsheet, LMAO, yup I'm a geek like that.

That is smart. I've got records of every bill I've paid since 1992. I'm a geek like that too.

Re: WOW, Gas prices
I guess it is smart, and buz since 1992? Damn, that's a long time.
Every time people have called me a geek or nerd, I've always taken it as a compliment . What's funny, is that my niece recently gave me a shirt that says "NERD" on the front, and on the back it's like a jersey style, with the name "BOOGER", and the # 69. I wore it the next day, lol.

Yeah, I can't wait to see what happens to the trucking industry when diesel is ranging around $5 a gallon..OUCH.
Re: WOW, Gas prices
Filled up this morning and it was $4.59. For some reason my bankcard only lets me fill up to $50, so I only got 10.8 gallons. Which means that if I fill up 16 gallons it would come out to approx. $73!!!! Good lord, hahahaha.
The only positive thing I see from all this, is that there is less traffic on the freeways. That's the consolation that I give myself.

Re: WOW, Gas prices
Slowing the economy by driving up the demand vs supply is a part of the Democrat controlled Congress's agenda. I heard it straight out of Bill Clinton's mouth. They just recently shot down the possiblity of drilling here in Anwar and off the coast. Why? I really don't understand. Killing voters and small buisness financially while suggesting that nationalizing the oil industry is the answer???!!! Scary thoughts. Where are we headed?

Re: WOW, Gas prices
In a country as advanced as we are, they are actually burning our food supply by refining ethanol. How rediculous is that? The price of corn is either at or expected to rise to $8.00 per bushel. The damage that E_85 causes to a normal engine makes the technology irrelevant. Drill here. Drill now. It's my understanding that we have more oil than the entire middle east combined. China and Cuba are on the brink of drilling off the coast of Florida but we can't because of political power struggle. What would George Washington say?

I don't know what George would say but I can say that maybe, just maybe, we are not using our own reserves for a reason other than what people would think. I think we are holding off until the middle east is tapped out then it would turn into a reversal of fortune..
This reminds me that we need an off topic "Round Table" discussion area..lol

Yeah, makes sense. You never know. It would be nice to have the last of it. Good idea about the off-topic deal.

I think that is exactly why we aren't using our own.
