Damn Ants! Empty Damn Ants!

Post  RedDoggy 6/29/2008, 08:39

So a few nights back (3am) I get done watching a movie and I turn some lights back on. I soon realize that there is a solid trail of ants going from my back door, through my den, into my kitchen, straight up the cabinet, across the counter, and into the sink. The best part was that there was only one item in the sink, a butter knife with a little bit of PB on it. So I spent about an hour stepping on them and Damn Ants! 41575 torching them. I made some lines of cinnamon and borax and it had no effect. So we bought some bait and a big bottle of poison. The trap/baits seemed to work and no there's no ants in the house Laughing BUT... I thought I would attack the mound in my front yard, it's been there since March. I put a ton of concentrated poison all over those ants and their colony, down the hole and all. No effect. I've done all kinds of stuff to that hole and have only seen them get stronger. Any suggestions?

Nope, don't have any ants at my house but I know a lot of people have been dealing with it over the past few years. I did catch a spider bite the other night. Hurt like hell. lol

I don't really have any helpful tips, I only use the Raid wherever I see them, and of course around all the edges of where I think they might come in.

When I remember the name of it I'll let you know, but there is a pesticides that I had to use once.
You sprinkle it around the perimeter of your house as a barrier.
For the mound or colony just make a small hole in the middle about a foot deep.
Fill it with gas and lite... Bye bye ants..... Damn Ants! 801486

They must be down deep, you may have to take a shovel to it and remove all remnants of the colony because they are just moving back in...
